emoryville. jade hernandez getting information. >> reporter: the fire started. on the front it reads california electric company. we want to take you inside. the fire seems to have started in or near a compress ser in a boiler room. pg&e will investigate. it looks as if this fire was an accidental one. there was an injury report. the battalion chief said a firefighter was hurt. he appeared to have cut his hand on a window. this fire broke out two hours ago. we're on the oakland emoryville border. this one-alarm fire fire brought out an emoryville ladder truck. >> it's a relatively small area of fire but sort of in that back corner, which is why it took

behind bars on terrorist charges. they say she made references to 9/11 and said she supported osama bin laden. one of her neighbors who did not want to be identified said she would often talk to herself as well. >> four to six weeks ago she was in her front yard at night yelling they got what they deserved on 9/11. >> there are reports show would drive around in circles around her hues and her condition appeared to be deteriorating. she was arraigned in philadelphia. state and federal authorities are going door to door in one small new hampshire town looking for a missing 11-year-old girmt susanna cass was last seen in her town of steward town. friends and family said she would have never run away and

sheriff's office, just about 10 to 20 feet away. these are members of the honor guard. they have a black band acrosser that badge. there will be other honor guards. he also said that he's going to have further information later on. 49-year-old jim mathison was shot outside the home on liberty road in petaluma. he was off duty and unarmed. he said law enforcement have the highest chance of violence against them when dealing with domestic violence. he said no marin county deputy has been murdered since the late 1800's. mathison had gone to a home to

pornography. he worked has computer technician at twin hills middle school and also worked at a schern's sirm camp. a camp director said no child from the camp is a victim. the trial of plying miflt leader warren jeffs is getting off to a frenzied start. he left a courtroom after dismissing his dis-- defense team. jeffs declined to give an opening statement. he is the head of his church and is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl and impreeing nateing a 15-year-old. a wild scene at a children's game in connecticut. it happened during a girl's game if dan bury. the assistant coach, who is the father of one of the 10-year-old players punched him in the face.

people, not just one faction. it has to have the support of both the house and the senate. there are multiple ways to reshoflt this prob -- resolve this problem. senator reid introduced a plan with cuts bay boasmght senator mcconnell introduced a solution. there are plenty modifications we can make to either plans to get them passed through bloaght the house and the senate and would allow me to sign them into law. today i urge democrats and republicans in the senate to find common ground on a plan they can get -- that can get support from both parties in the house, a plan i can sign by tuesday. keep in mind, this is not a situation where the two parties are miles apart. we're in rough agreement about how much spending can be cut responsibly as a first step

toward reducing our deficit. we agree on a process where the next step is a debate on tax reform and entitlement refoamplet if we need to put in place some kind of enforcement mechanism to hold us all accountable for make the reforms, i will support that too if it's done in a smart and balanced way. there are plenty ways out of this mess but we are almost out of time. we need to reach a compromise by tuesday so our country will have the ability to pay its bills on time as we always have. bills that include monthly social securtiy checks, veteran checks and the contracts we signed with thousands of business else. ski in mind if we don't do that, if we don't come to an agreement, we could lose our country's aaa triple rating, not because we didn't have the capacity to pay our bills. we do. we don't have a aaa political

system to match, our aaa credit rating. for those who say they oppose tax increases on anyone one, a lower credit rating would result in a higher rate on everyone in the form of mortgages, car loans, credit cards and that's inexcusable. there are a lot of crises in the world we can't always predict or avoid -- hurricanes, earthquake, tornadoes, terrorist atadges. this isn't one of those crises. the power to solve this is in our hands, and on a day when we've been remind how fragile the economy already; this is one burden we can lift ourselves. we can end this with a simple vote, a vote that democrats and republicans have been taking for decades, a vote that the leaders in congress have taken for decades. it's not a vote that allows congress to spend more money.

a soldier who went awol is planning another attack on the military base. we have details on the and attack and how it was stopped. >> reporter: authorities are saying a deadly plot at fort hood has been avoided. naser abdo was arrested in texas on a routine traffic stop. the american soldier was taken into custody. the defense department said he had enough material to make two woman -- bombs. the soldier had been awol for nearly a month. police started looking into the matter after the gun shop owner
